Hand Down” “It isn't just the food that makes this place the best. The old tavern atmosphere and small town feel reminds us where we come from and who we're with. The workers are top-notch. Lots of hustle, not standing around. Ok, but it really is all about the food. There is a big selection and it all is great.”

"To whom it may concern:

I am a self-employed contract project manager that was working for one of the world's largest food companies in the winter of 2006 when I was first exposed to Astro Engineering and George Ross. I was in put in charge of a large project for that company's snack division that involved the handling of whole fried grain. We wanted to replace grain ladders with stainless steel grain slides in 7 large tanks. Astro was selected prior to me coming on board, but George was extremely helpful in getting me up-to-date on the order.

We ordered seven screw-like grain slides, fourteen total pieces. These were 32" in diameter and 20' long, made of 304 stainless steel. I needed to increase the level of finish on the slides, and George and his staff was very helpful in getting me the information I needed to make an informed decision. He even did some trials and sent me pictures, so I could be sure the finish and weld polishing was what the project needed, without spending too much. In the end, the slides came out just as I wanted, and the change order cost was extremely reasonable. The pieces came on schedule and went into the grain tanks and fit together as planned.

I was very satisfied with both the cooperation and finished work by Astro Engineering. I would consider them a worthy vendor for any project that required their capabilities."
