Founded in 1987, Astro built their name and reputation designing and fabricating high quality stainless steel and miscellaneous metals structures for a variety of industries.

Astro specializes in high quality sheet metal fabrication products from stainless steel and aluminum. We work closely with architects, building owners and contractors to realize their vision for aesthetics, sustainability, and lasting value. We know the importance of construction schedules and work diligently with project managers to deliver perfectly fitting metal fabrications, on time. Our certified welders are adept at performing visually pleasing, high performance welds that contribute to professional-looking architectural metal products. Installation is usually provided by the contractor.

Our shop drawings are created in SolidWorks to ensure all metal components fit properly. Solidworks is considered by many industry experts to be the gold standard of 3D mechanical CAD (MCAD) software.

Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Astro Engineering & Manufacturing currently holds the following certifications:

• Certified vendor for MnDOT (Minnesota Department of Transportation). Quality Control Plan in place, tailored for our specific work and in accordance with DOT standards
• Certified in NAICS Codes 332323: Ornamental and architectural metal work manufacturing and Code 332322: Sheet Metal Work Manufacturing by the following three agencies:
  • Certified DBE (disadvantaged business enterprise) by Minnesota Uniform Certification Program: Minnesota Department of Transportation, Metropolitan Airports Commission, and Metropolitan Council
  • Certified SBE (small business enterprise) and WBE (woman business enterprise) by the Central Certification CERT Program
  • Certified TGB (targeted group business, woman-owned) By Admin Minnesota, Materials Management Division
